The Hamilton Hepatitis C Network is a partnership of community agencies and community members committed to developing the capacity of the local community to respond in a healthy manner to the many health and social issues faced by those infected, affected and at-risk for the hepatitis C virus (HCV).
Guiding Principles:
We promote non-judgement around how someone has contracted HCV
We work to reduce the stigma associated with HCV
Education is a key component to preventing the spread of HCV and we educate from a harm reduction point of view.
Local ownership through meaningful involvement of service users and providers is essential for long term program success and sustainability.
